Re: Flush old data from ibd files

I would tend to want to find out what is in there. You say that there are no events, so there should be no frames... so if you open a mysql shell... What does SELECT * from Frames; give you? If you don't care about the contents, then DELETE FROM Frames; Should clear it out. I'd be interested in the ...

Re: Raspberry pi3 and h264_mmal

Ok... so first step is that I am going to have to build & provide packages of ffmpeg for raspbian.

I really wish raspbian and debian and ubuntu would just start building this stuff in...

Re: Raspberry pi3 and h264_mmal

Thank you ever so much. Trying to follow ffmpeg and figure this stuff out is a full time job, and you have boiled it down very nicely. I will be looking into what you have written tomorrow, and I hope you will stick around, as you clearly are following this stuff more closely than I have been able t...

Re: Filters not deleting events

The output will be in zmfilter.pl. zmaudit only does the deleting when OPT_FAST_DELETE is on.

The tempfilter thing is just how zm does things.. A hack, but not the problem.

Is it set to run in the background?

Hard to say without logs. Look at them. Paste them here.

Maybe try the ONVIF detect method.

Maybe you need to add username/password?

Re: Autotracking

That looks correct to me. You will need to look in the logs. Do you have enough ram? That resolution will use up a lot of /dev/shm.

Re: raspberry pi security camera

First off, keep the mysql db on the old server, to free up ram on the pi. nfs mount the zoneminder events dir from the old server onto the pi so that all the events are stored on the old server. (You might use samba instead.). The multi-server setup is easy. GO to options -> Servers. Add entries for...

I've heard it said that you should put heatsinks on the chips... I usually just make sure there is direct airflow over them.

Re: Extremely high iowait time & load

Ok, so you get that raid5 means that the write speed is that of 1 disk. So all the zma's are trying to write to your raid5 and are backed up.

The recommendation is to use monit, or tell systemd to keep zm running.

If you have a better idea, then we eagerly await your pull request.

You have configured it as a local camera, not as a remote camera.
