Re: "Time To Next Event = 1 Second" Problem, Cause and Solut

Hi, I have this Time To Next Event = 1 problem too. The first frame is displayed and the video window goes black with that text. I've repaired the database with mysqlcheck after stopping zoneminder but it didn't help. Is there a fix that doesn't require recompiling? My pre-event image count is 40. I...

Re: Zoneminder install DVD 1.24.x (3/7/2011)

I just got this running with my Kodicom 8800 card (it just needed the modprobe entries and Video for Linux version 1 instead of 2). Is it safe to update to 1.24.4?

Thanks!

Hmm 10fps at 640x480 isn't bad at all. Is it stable? Keeps on running and running?

It has been a year now ... do you still feel the same? Have there been any firmware updates or anything that fixes it?

3 - Check the you can still view existing events both stream and stills. You can do this by going to the web browser and simply typing: http://localhost/zm/events and http://localhost/zm/images I was moving my events folder when I realized that... anyone can just add /events to the url and see all ...

I tried installing ZMLinuxOS_2008.7 on two different computers with sata hard drives. The liveCD boots and installs fine, but after I install to HDD and reboot, mounting the root partition fails with error 6. I thought it was quite odd, as the liveCD booted up fine and could find sda1. I tried it on...

I was going to ask what the modprobe settings are ... see this post http://www.spinics.net/lists/vfl/msg23728.html There are many others, google 'modprobe kmc8800' and variations and you will find myriads of people having problems using this card in V4L - however I'm sure it will work fine once the...

What changes do you have to your modprobe.d/options and sysctl.conf? How much memory is in the box? I haven't changed either file, they're whatever gets installed by the liveCD. There's no options file in /etc/modprobe.d either. The box has 2GB of RAM, top reports about 55MB free. It's a Core2 Duo ...

i bought a cheapo 8800 and if i try to use more than 3 channels it puts noise on the image making detection impossible. To test the card try using record on all channels and see how that goes. Then once we have a successful test of 5 channels recorded then chnage 1 to modect, then put that back to ...

Ah ok... is the ring buffer the same as the image buffer for each channel?
Increasing the image buffer for each channel will make it turn orange.

thanks
