This problem is also in evidence on Slackware 12.0 Adding the 3 lines above fixed the problem without difficulty though. (The only difficulty was the stress I put myself under between the time the compile failed and I came here to check for a solution. )

Ahhhh... I wasn't thinking enough. I have ZoneMinder configured to continually record in 5 minute chunks, so I was looking for something to do motion detection on those events. I didn't think that most people probably use motion detection and therefore would have motion in their events to begin with.

Nevermind - found it in the Paths tab under options. Changing it to zms from nph-zms did indeed fix the problem. Thanks for the help.

I've tried auto, yes, and no for the streaming options. All produce the same effect.
