Exactly the same here: I am running 1.22.3 on Ubuntu Feisty. The problem is the same no matter whether I am using firefox or IE, and is the same both local to the box and over the network. i suspect something is broken with the authentication?? No Auth and PLAN Auth are both fine. I don't know if ...

When a zone triggers an alarm recording starts. Since zoneminder has a number of frames in its memory (PRE EVENT BUFFER) these are tagged to the begining. when a frame is encountered that isn't an alarm, then a set number of additional frames are recorded (POST EVENT BUFFER). if during the recording ...

Re: if it were stolen?
can it be done? As others have said, it can be done. I must admit, though, that my main concern with the Zoneminder system being stolen, is that i would lose the images recorded of the thief! To this end, there is an FTP filter that will automatically FTP events "off site", so that they can be ...

Re: Speeding
But is it feasible? Yes you could do this. Off the top of my head I think i'd do this. Set up a monitor that covers the whole street. Split the road into zones. set each zone to be modetect. Turn STATS on. Once an alarm occurs, read the database and extract the STATS for each frame for that alarm ...

Unfortunately no-one else appears to be jumping in, so you're stuck with me  until we can catch your "real" events there isn't much we can do about the "falsies". I had a thought last night... I assume that you have the STATS turned on? If so, you could try triggering an alarm manually, and ...

OK.. sorry that i haven't sent you the excel spreadsheet... I will get on to that in the next couple of days (poor excuse, I know, but I will do it). in the meantime. I notice that you are running this image at 10fps (and then 30fps for an alarm). Could you just cycle through the frames of an alarm ...

in Another thread of yours, I answered your query about a zone covering 103% of the image. In that, I recommended that you might wish to alter your large zone into a set of smaller rectangular zones. I guess I am going to have to repeat that advice. Especially when I combine it with the following ...

Hmm wierd! The only things that i'd point out (not that these are the cause of your problem). There is no need to exclude the Clock from your zone. The time is added AFTER the image comparison is done. You can enter EXACT values into the X/Y coordinate boxes (this means that you have more accuracy ...

Re: just a quicky
1. i would like to know is u can set the camera to take a pic every X minutes or hours. I must admit I have never tried to do this, but if you want to know WHO is damaging the boats (and have a vague idea when) then the motion detection setting would be best (records images whenever motion is ...

I have to say, when I ordered from BlueCherry, I was able to track the package quite happily until it went into a "frozen" state for a week. It was claimed to have left the US but not arrived at UK customs. I did some chasing, and then it "magically" arrived at UK customs. I couldn't honestly say ...

Here is the benefit of my experience (Your Mileage May Vary). My first foray into CCTV was to use a DVR from Swann (an Austrailian company). I wanted to be able to access the images over the net. The DVR was really simple to set up and I ran it with just a single camera. BUT. The network viewer only ...

Re: Crazy idea - robocop application to protect a Koi pond
The plan is to shoot to the cat, dog or heron - NO PANIC - just with high pressure water  You could set the alarm zone to be a sufficiently small area, that if it triggers you will know EXACTLY where your quarry is. I would guess that there is a "shallow" part to the pond which is where they ...

As expected all you have to be aware of if that you can only record images of your property, and not public places, plus exhibiting a sign that shows CCTV cameras are in use for security and crime prevention. According to the Home Office Guidance on the use of CCTV in England and Wales (I wish I ...
