I tried using Source Type:FFMPEG (on the General page)
then on the Source page I set the Source Path to:

rtsp://192.168.1.10/user=admin_password=BlahBlah_channel=1_stream=1 (basically whaever RTSP source URL you used for VLC)

Try using the FFMPEG source instead of the RTSP source...
