Re: Installation health check
If there were no errors during installation and the system works, then I'd say it's healthy :) Your symptoms sound like system resources are running out. How's your CPU, network and memory? That being said, I did install LAMP during installation. I always thought it was a requirement but admittedly ...

Re: Since 1.34.11, APIs have not worked
API works with OPT_USE_LEGACY_API_AUTH enabled and using &stateful=1 on 1.34.15 - didn't try without stateful connection. I don't know what zmNinja uses, but maybe ask the developer for support? If you suspect something is not right with your ZM, you can test drive the API yourself with the inst...

Re: EufyCAM (ANKER) support
I only tried it briefly but looks like it's working reliably and recording starts promptly after motion is triggered.

Re: ZM is running - So what's next? Stoopid Noob questions
Yeah definitely useful in that case. I only have a few cameras and don't use the built in motion detection so setting it up from scratch isn't that big of a deal - assuming that I don't have to do it every year.

Re: ZM is running - So what's next? Stoopid Noob questions
No. If my system fails I'll reinstall and accept that I might lose data. I'm curious though, do you also backup events? I'd assume that the database alone isn't that useful? Of course, if physical security is breached someone could make off with the server (and all data, including last recordings). ...

Re: Video Blending and Video searching
Based on zmeventnotification docs mentioning that OpenCV 4.1.1 is the minimum version I'm going to assume this is also the case with zmMagik. Following this manual ( https://docs.opencv.org/master/d7/d9f/tutorial_linux_install.html ) I ended up with ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'cv2' - at th...

Re: Video Blending and Video searching
I'm trying to test this out, but having some difficulties... Which version of OpenCV is required (3.x or 4.x)? Is it okay to use OpenCV version 2.4.8 (which installs easily with apt install on Ubuntu) or is it too old? For clarification, I already tried 2.4.8 but had problems with magik.py - I'm try...

Re: ZM is running - So what's next? Stoopid Noob questions
If you mean the "monitor" that is mentioned in the link I posted, you can just replace the word with "camera". I have one external HDD, no SSD. No fancy backups either since in my case the data is not valuable enough to warrant the extra effort. If your environment is stable (no ...

Re: ZM is running - So what's next? Stoopid Noob questions
What you describe is pretty much exactly what an NVR like ZM does, so yes :) Is there something specific you need help with? Basically you need to 1. Mount the HDD to the Pi so it's available as storage to ZM (outside ZM scope) 2. Configure ZM to use that storage as it's default storage (Options -> ...

Re: EufyCAM (ANKER) support
I tested the Eufycam 2 with ZM 1.34.15 just now. The cameras (=base station) support RTSP streams now which seems to work very well (http://community.anker.com/t/how-to-setup-rtsp-on-eufycam-to-stream-video-to-your-compatible-nas/64833). However as the cameras are normally sleeping until movement, m...

Re: Progress bar jumping back and forth
Sorry for bumping this thread but I don't like to leave it without clues on what to do next in case someone reads this later: https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=29332 The fix/workaround(?) proposed by Bluemax would be excellent for now. I guess some users are not seeing this beha...

Re: Progress bar jumping back and forth
Could someone point me in the right direction where this issue is being handled? Went through the Github issue list and part of the forum here but couldn't find it.
