What you describe is pretty much exactly what an NVR like ZM does, so yes :) Is there something specific you need help with? Basically you need to 1. So, I managed to get ZM running on a Pi 3B+ running Buster, and a HikVision cam. So what's next? I want to set this up at our place in the mountains, and only record when there is motion, stored on an external drive, that I can remotely access if needed. Is this feasible? I actually got frustrated, and blew the whole thing away and went with the ngenix version and used that repo. Now, I'm trying to get my hikvision cam to work on it. Any pointers?bbunge wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2020 1:04 am Why not use the pre-configured image?

Unable to connect to ZM db.could not find driver
Working on setting up ZM per the wiki on installing ZM on a Rpi 3B running Raspbian 10 (https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debian_10_Buster_with_Zoneminder_1.34.x_from_ZM_Repo). Managed to get through most of the setup, but I'm getting the error "Unable to connect to ZM db.could not find driver."...
