Re: Adapting Amcrest Cameras Systems - AXIS M7016?

Currently I have three Amcrest systems set up (1x of this 4 cam system - AMDV10814-4B-B and 2x of these 16 channel systems - AMDV960H16-8B). They all have Ethernet ports on the back and can connect to the internet to be viewed. I cannot afford to pull out all the old wiring and rewire and install n...

Re: Mocord showing 0 alarm frames

is this correct operation? seems a bit pointless with it not showing the detected motion points over just non-analysed record which would save on the cpu cycles for processing. When there is no motion detected there is no score. But there should be a score when motion is detected, whether mocord or...

Re: how to configure DecoderHWAccelName & Device?

Can you test the GPU in a normal ZM install first to make sure it works? Docker can make configuration more difficult than normal, and you don't know the compatibility with the GPU yet. You might want to rule out whether its a GPU issue or a Docker issue. So try in normal ZM w/out docker, see if it ...

Re: Problem with ONVIF auto discovery on Axis M3025-VE

Cameras give themselves 169.254.xx.xx when they can't get / don't see an IP from the DHCP server, as already mentioned.

That is the problem. Search online for, "why can't i get a dhcp lease".

Re: Thank you and zone sensitivity

H264 Passthrough is used because it is less CPU intensive. It passes through raw H264 without processing. Disable JPEG saving, and use ffmpeg. If the recording can't keep up, lower FPS and resolution (on the camera - not ZM) until it is stable. SD Cards, in my experience, are not worth it. I have da...

Re: Thank you and zone sensitivity

Even worse. I have a gap of 4 seconds between two consecutive alarm frames. The timestamps, that the camera put on and the one by Zoneminder, differ by 8 seconds. Not good. I wonder where to start to reduce them to more acceptable values for the worst case scenario. So the alarm event is skipping; ...

Re: cant capture analog cameras

In your logs it says its a zms error not a capture error. You may just need to follow the instructions in the error message.

But per subject: Analog cameras are covered in the HCL: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Hardware_Compatibility_List IP VIdeo encoders, capture cards, bt8x8 cards are all relevant.

Re: Can't get ONVIF cam to work (works on other software)

test it in VLC / ffmpeg first from terminal. It's faster than trying paths in ZM. See below sig.

Are you sure it isn't RTSP? When you try that URL with ffmpeg post the terminal output here. It will indicate
what is going wrong.

Flamegrilled: Don't know about unraid, but https://docs.docker.com/engine/referenc ... -container or just use volumes in the docker container, and have a separate partition. The latter will work anywhere.

- which image files are necessary for zoneminder UI and zmNinja to browse and watch events? Do they need the capture jpegs? or can they use the video? Just video is enough. - is there an option to not save the capture jpegs at all? Monitor config - Storage - save jpegs. Read the docs: zoneminder.re...

What hardware are you using to record? Have you tried libVLC? Also try ffmpeg from the terminal as per my sig and report back how that goes.

which was a rough attempt at using ZM for win screen capture (works, but not 100% recommended): This is bound to be a desirable feature.

Re: /dev/shm increasing TO 100%

Are u suggesting I add a cron job for rebooting the machine? I have a cron job that reboots once a week (I could probably do so once every other week). But once a day is unnecessary, and restarting ZM every 30 minutes, is insane. Try to narrow down which camera is causing /dev/shm to fill up, and e...
