Re: 1.33.6 watch view & New Event playback problems

The streamreplayimage buffer was 1000, but I set it to 2000, and now things are working.

Thanks!

And, by the way, 1.33 looks great and works really nicely. Thank you for all of the improvements!

1.33.6 watch view & New Event playback problems

I am currently doing both pass-through video and saving .jpgs In watch view the live view works perfectly, and pause works, but I cannot rewind or step back, and play from pause doesn't play from pause, but instead reverts to live view . . . I'm not getting any error messages in the log. I also can'...

Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event

Actually, I've just upgraded to 1.32.3 from the PPA, and I don't see any change in behaviour from the original defect Same here. Still resets to 1x on new event. Also, for me, in the progress bar banner the zoneminder event timestamp is static with the event start time stamp. Previous beta versions...

Re: Gapless Events - Fast Forward reverts back to 1x for each new event

I experience this also, saving only h.264. And I agree that it would be an improvement to keep the playback speed from event to event.

Keep stills for new events, then delete?

I suspect that I might be missing something simple: I use ZM as an alarm to notify me when there might be a problem in an area, and as a digital recorder (so that if something happens, I can go back and look at the video for something I might not have known I was interested in until after the fact)....

Re: Fresh Install - Web Interface Not Working

With 1.31.42 and later, there were some changes required for the apache configuration. As described: https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=27204 Does your apache config file look, more or less, like this? https://gist.github.com/connortechnology/9ca83f812d94b2777b93ad54ee45067e Not sure...

Re: Adjusting Filter resends every event

I had basically this same problem starting with 1.31.28. If I ran the filter, I would get the expected result set. If I executed the filter with "Message details . . ." checked, I would get the expected result set listed in the browser, but ZM would send a message for every event in the database. Th...

Empty Events Directories?

I have 1.31.37 & 1.31.39 running. I just noticed that neither seems to be removing empty event directories. The events themselves are being deleted okay, but the dated directories seem to just be left indefinitely . . . It isn't a huge problem, but is it unique to me?

Thanks,

Alec

Re: Huge Database

When you set up the monitor, under the storage tab you can choose what frames are saved as jpegs and also to save the H264 pass through. It sounds like you are set to save both the H264 stream AND JPEG frames. Also, if you view the frames of a saved event, even if you are not set to save JPEGS, the ...

Re: Huge Database

. . . the allocation of the frames in the database is done by the BULK_FRAME_INTERVAL . . . By default it comes configured with 100, I have tested changing it to 0, but it continues to write to the frames database The BULK_FRAME_INTERVAL is designed to reduce the size of the database. The number th...
