Re: Getting time stamp on Video with H264 passthrough

I can add the information from the cameras but that sort of defeats the purpose.

I would like to help, but I am not a programmer, any suggestions on what I could do to move this in a positive direction?

Getting time stamp on Video with H264 passthrough

I have read the forums and found that as the video is directly passed through when using H264 passthrough you cannot get the time stamp on the video and if I wanted to get the pretty time stamp on my video I have to use x264 encode. Having done a test I found that server load aside, not an issue for...

Re: how to add remote rtsp server to zonminder?

I use Ubiquiti cameras and natively, afaik, don't support RTSP, so I have to run the Unifi Video Server and this provides the RTSP link for each of my cameras. In my ZM config I simply use FFMPEG and the RSTP link provided from the Unifi Video Server, my source path looks like this: rtsp://192.168.7...

Re: Zone Minder into Home Asst

I use both, but run them as separate VMs on an ESXi 6.5 host. With your situation I could suggest if you are running ZM on the straight Ubuntu, you could install the Docker image of HASSIO that why the are still isolated from each other. Here is a forum post on how to install HASS on Ubuntu: https:/...

Re: Change function onDemand

Cheers kitkat but not quite what I was after. I think what I need to do is "disable" the mode "Modetect", but to do this manually is very onerous. I also did see when you are viewing the camera there is a link to "Disable Alarms" but I don't see a link to "Enable A...

Change function onDemand

I have a few cameras and some are in day to day places in my house and I don't want to have to go through all recordings and have to delete them. Is there a way for me to easily change the function from Modetect to Monitor and back again simply enough, such as a button on an app or a webscript? Coul...

Re: Buffer -> Alarm Frame Count not being honoured

I have had something of a win with these settings under 'Buffers" Image Buffer Size (frames) 30 Warmup Frames 0 Pre Event Image Count 5 Post Event Image Count 5 Stream Replay Image Buffer 0 Alarm Frame Count 10 By simply changing 'Pre Event Image Count' to 5, I am no longer getting any alarms u...

Re: Buffer -> Alarm Frame Count not being honoured

Okay, not sure how to check this at the console but my camera details are as follows. I am using two (2) Unifi G3 Pro and they are set to FFMpeg using an RSTP url and the Storage is set to H264 pass through. Happy to check this at the console to troubleshoot just don't know the commands. Thanks for ...

Re: Buffer -> Alarm Frame Count not being honoured

Yes I have, that is exactly the article I read to set up my Zones, however that doesn't stop all the recordings that are 1 sec or less. The detection itself is working fine, however a brief shadow, a quick flashing light is being detected and with 1 detected frame I am getting 6 frame videos (15fps ...

Buffer -> Alarm Frame Count not being honoured

I will admit I am very new to this and have installed version 1.32.3 and got the system working really well, the only issue I have is with the often very small recordings with Modect. Setting Alarm Frame Count to 10 does not seem to make any difference on my detected events, I am getting events even...

Re: Zoneminder on CentOS7 no README.CentOS7

I was able to complete the install by swapping the dnf command for yum however the website listed above may need to be updated or add the README. A little confusing when you want to follow everything to the letter to make sure you don't stuff something up.

Cheers

Help with adding camera to ZM, got working URL

I can use ONVIF (in Windows) and VLC to view my camera but I cannot workout how to add it to ZM. I have tried FFMEG, RTSP all those type of settings and nothing is working. If I use vlc I can see and hear the camera at url rtsp:192.168.254.220/play1.sdp however as I said I can't get it to work no ma...
