Re: Debian Buster install procedure for Zoneminder 1.34.x

OK - all fixed... sigh

Final problem was both PHP 7.0 and 7.3 were installed. I basically had to reload the entire LAMP stack to PHP 7.3 to get things working and properly configured again.

Both web and ZMNinja are working.

I didn't need to reload the database or reconfigure cameras.

Re: Debian Buster install procedure for Zoneminder 1.34.x

I'm getting a clean install from https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debian_10_Buster_with_Zoneminder_1.34.x_from_ZM_Repo bit API isn't working and trying to access the web interface gives me "Unable to connect to ZM db.could not find driver" paulg@homenet:~$ sudo apt install php7.3 Reading packag...

Re: Debian Buster install procedure for Zoneminder 1.34.x

OK - making some progress. I reset the mariadb root password to blank and now I'm getting this: sudo apt install zoneminder Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done zoneminder is already the newest version (1.34.2-buster). 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed...

Re: Debian Buster install procedure for Zoneminder 1.34.x

Jessie to Buster first or Zoneminder 1.33.16 to 1.34.0 first? Upgrading Debian 9 to 10 will likely break Zm if wether or not if you upgrade zm. Your best bet is to backup your zm database first. Upgrade to Buster. Check to be sure you have one PHP version. Upgrade Zoneminder and if you have issues ...

Re: Events deleting and other things I screwed up

Is there a place where we can check status of ZM 1.34.0?

Do you believe that I will be able to do an upgrade from Stretch to Buster and then ZM 1.32.3 -> 1.34.0?

Thanks,
Paul

Re: Zoneminder 1.33.X Debian 9

Would you recommend that I update to from 1.32.3 to 1.33.x on Stretch first or update to Buster first, then upgrade to 1.33.x?

(yes, I know a clean Buster install would be better...)

Re: IoS replacement for Tiny Cam Pro?

Thank you - The windows desktop version seems to be working. I will try and build the IoS version as I'm running the 13 beta.

Re: IoS replacement for Tiny Cam Pro?

Thanks, I would not mind trying ZmNinja but I'm at 1.32.3 atm. Is there a trial or test? I don't mind paying if it works.

IoS replacement for Tiny Cam Pro?

Hi,

I just moved from Android to IoS. Running 5 cameras on a Debian Server with 1.32.3, I was happy with Tiny Cam Pro (paid version) on Android. What is a good equivalent on IoS?

Thanks,
Paul

Re: Zoneminder 1.32.3 on Debian Buster

I have a working 1.32.3 (MariaDB) on Stretch. Can I upgrade in place to buster? My sources .list is specifically pointed at "stretch" repositories at the moment. Note - I installed from: # ZoneMinder repository deb https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/debian/release stretch/ as per this thread: h...

Re: Zoneminder 1.33.X Debian 9

Thank you for a near painless upgrade. I did need to change all my cameras (4 reolink, 1 wansview) from remote to FFMPEG but that is what I was planning on doing anyway. System is stable, load is about the same, and I'm not getting errors from the RSTP wifi cameras the way I used to. All I did was a...
