Linked monitors not working

Upgraded my system a little while ago to 1.32.3. I've noticed since then that my linked monitors will randomly stop recording. Restarting ZM from the console will restore the functionality. I have a handful of cameras, most of which supply a low-def and hi-def stream. ZM is set to Modect on the low-...

Open new window maximized

I'm trying to figure out how to get ZM to open a new browser window in 'maximized' rather that resizable. I've tried in both my usual Firefox and with Chrome, and the behaviour is the same: click on anything (day's events for example) and a new window opens that I have to then manually maximize if I...

Re: Night vision working, day vision not

Are you pushing your system too hard? Without CPU, RAM, camera resolution and frame rate info it's difficult to tell, however load seems high if you've got a dual core CPU. I could be wrong here, but maybe the extra workload of the colour streams is what's causing it to fail? Try manually forcing al...

Re: Nubie: Questions on Settings

Ah! those are set at: Reference Image Blend %ge 1.5625% Alarm Reference Image Blend %ge 1.5625% That might be the issue then. Mine are all outside cameras, and are: Reference Image Blend: 12.5% Alarm Reference Image Blend: 6.25% ...I believe these are the default settings. Most cameras that I've wo...

Re: Switch states on schedule?

Thank you! Updated the crontab file to adjust for DST and summer/winter. Tested, and it's working well. So as not to leave the bad code here by itself, this is what I've got: 43 14 * 1,2,12 2 www-data /usr/bin/zmpkg.pl GensetTest 52 14 * 1,2,12 2 www-data /usr/bin/zmpkg.pl Winter 43 15 * 3,4 2 www-d...

Switch states on schedule?

I'm trying to get ZomeMinder to record a weekly backup generator test, and am trying to use crontab to switch 'states'. ...and am not having much luck. Remote site, generator status is not monitored at all, so the only way to check to see if the weekly test is happening is to do so visually. The gen...

Re: E-mail trigger filter for number of events

Got it working. Had to get a friend to take a look at the issue and he fixed it up - basically installed libraries from Ubuntu repositories instead of CPAN.

Works very, very well.

Thanks so much!

Re: E-mail trigger filter for number of events

This looks awesome. Thanks for the work on it! I've loaded both files onto the computer (create the file, paste the script, save and close). I changed the mail server info to reflect the fact that I'm using port 25 SMTP (no login required). Other than that, it's line for line. For testing I set the ...

Re: E-mail trigger filter for number of events

No, not yet. I've also yet to try the solution offered by rockedge above. I'm not that great when it comes to programming, so I'll have to get a colleague to help me fine tune the script. We're experiencing similar issues I'd say: ZM can take action if there are recorded events, but not necessarily ...

Re: E-mail trigger filter for number of events

Here's a shot of the sump, with motion analysis area highlighted. I've tried to avoid the inlet bubbles and ripples, as well as the discharge pipe and the pump itself. http://i916.photobucket.com/albums/ad8/avro125/motion%20area_zpsyagymesy.jpg Slightly out of focus, as the camera is perhaps 1.5 met...

Re: E-mail trigger filter for number of events

For zero events, perhaps 90 minutes? It's running pretty well now at 3, almost 4 cycles per hour. Once the snow is gone and things dry up, that number will drop considerably. The trigger threshold may be something I'd need to adjust seasonally. I've only got data back to late fall last year (when th...

Re: E-mail trigger filter for number of events

Hmmm.... that level of scripting is somewhat beyond my current capabilities, however I have a guy that could probably help me out.

If I'm successful, I'll post what I/we ended up with.

Thanks!

Re: E-mail trigger filter for number of events

Yeah, two filters would work well. Provided of course I can get ZM to do something with the results other than the options of displaying, archiving and deleting. There doesn't seem to be a lot of choice. Perhaps I could 'execute command on all matches', except in this case the critical point is when...

Re: Console clock 12h

Anyone have an answer to this?

My on-screen time stamps are in the format I prefer, as are my event lists. The only thing I can't seem to change is the way the date and time are displayed on the console page. I'd really like it to be 24-hour time.

E-mail trigger filter for number of events

I have a camera that monitors a sump pump ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sump_pump ) that's located in a crawl space. The water table is high here and the pump runs regularly. Failure of the pump would be a problem, and it's in a difficult place to physically check regularly, so I have a camera do ...
