A fresh install it shall be maybe this weekend.

It can be tricky enough getting things to function correctly without causing ones own trouble.

this is on 1.29 updated to the mar3rd updates

when i run zmfilter.pl as root in a ssh terminal I get this

How would one go about fixing this issue?

Sorry, I was using the ones here and what I think I did wrong was after doing the update upgrde and then dist upgrade i rebooted instead of just following through. I installed ubuntu server 15.10 32 bit no problem and followed the new install with the 1.29 ppa followed all the steps but got hung at the install of zoneminder here is the response / error i got back Yes I tried a second and third time to install. apt-get install zoneminder Reading package lists.....

Hi, another simple way to turn on a sleeping monitor. xset dpms force on I like what you have done. I have a similar goal, I want to force the monitor on but have the montage pop up in front of the lock screen but also have it so no one can use the browser except to see the montage as it is in alarm...
