Re: Source type: file, permission denied

Another question on source type file. It is triggering on partial images, like this: 026-analyse.jpg Clearly what has happened is that it's loading the image while FTP is saving the image. Any suggestions on how to prevent this? Ideally FTP would be an atomic operation, but that's clearly not the wa...

Re: Source type: file, permission denied

On Debian (Ubuntu) the process is running as www-data. The www-data UID is a normal user. The source file can be placed anywhere you want it to be, doesn't matter. Provide the full path. Make sure that the file is readable by the www-data user. Make sure every directory in the path to the file is al...

Re: Alternate Way of Storing Events

I agree, that would be cool. Directories full of JPEGs are not a video format.

Re: Alarm frames getting dropped

Thank you Knnniggett. That worked! It now catches all the frames and it seems to be working much better. I went into the Axis camera setup and I limited it to 10 fps there, and that seems to give good captures. System load is a bit high, around .4 to .5, for one camera, so I worry about trying to do...

Re: Gets stuck in "alarm" state forever after massive scene change

What settings did you settle on to fix the problem? I have similar issues here. Hi Gary, I put it at: Reference image blend %age: 12.5% (Outdoor) Alarm reference image blend %age: 12.5% I don't really understand these but it definitely works now. I still have a cron job to restart ZM every night at...

Alarm frames getting dropped

Hi everyone, I have my one-camera setup working pretty well at this point. It does catch motion. It's an Axis IP camera. Physical installation was quite complicated but the result is an awesomely cool peephole in my door that works. Thanks to the help from this forum, I did fix the issue with it get...

Re: Gets stuck in "alarm" state forever after massive scene change

Hi Knniggett, should I increase both of the fields (reference image and alarm reference)? What values do you think are good? Right now they are both at 6.25%, the default.

What do those fields mean?

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that.

Gets stuck in "alarm" state forever after massive scene change

This may be a dumb question but I read a lot of FAQs and guides and couldn't figure it out. Here's the situation: I replaced the peep hole in my door with a video camera. Really, I drilled out the door, drilled out some of the metal in the existing peep hole, drilled out the plastic "lens"...
