Re: Big fan of open source, but this is not workable.

Over the years, Ive owned many different brands and types of wired outdoor cameras because after years of use, they will either fail or have old software standards and are no longer supported by their manufacturers so cant be updated. Ive found the $800 cams can fail just like the $80 versions. So, ...

Pixel shifting

I have a few wired Lorex cams with this problem, but this happens with other cams as well. I have a short video that shows the problem, but its 100MB so I cant upload it here. If you could watch it, every few moments you'd see the image shifting just a few pixels one way and then another, also the i...

Re: Run filter after a certain time of day

I stopped trying with cron and enabled the filter to run in the background. It took some time, like maybe one or two days before it began logging to zmfilter_4.log, but now it does.

Re: Run filter after a certain time of day

This is an old thread, I know, but I'm running zmfilter.pl in crontab to remove events with fewer than a couple of alarm frames, and I cannot for the life of me get it to output the results to a log. A log is not critical, but I'm just wanting to see that the filter is working. Any hints about how t...

Re: AI-Homeguard Object Detection

This works very well, but running under ubuntu the script caused a cpu core to constantly run at 100%.

So, I added a command 'time.sleep(0.01)' on a line just beneath 'while 1:' and now it runs fine.

Thanks!

Re: Unable to connect my cameras

It would be helpful if you told us what Remote Host Path you are using. Here's what I use: Source Type: Ffmpeg Maximum FPS: leave empty Source Path: rtsp://username:password@192.168.25.55:554 Target Colorspace: 24 bit colour capture width: 1280 capture heigth: 960 (use your actual username, password...

Re: Vertical Stripe / Noise?

I use Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I Outdoor HD 3MP cameras, and have the same problem. What works for me is to change the settings for Maximum FPS to be higher than what the camera is streaming. Your imgur picture shows that the camera is streaming at 25+ fps, so set the ZM Console/Source to a Maximum FPS ...
