Hi,
I'm in the same boat I have a stable install of 1.27.99 however I switched repository's and did the upgrade to 1.28.
The upgrade went well and so far so good everything is working as expected. I'll report back if I see any errors.

Really wish something EyeZM would get updated or something else was made, its 2014 a lot the cheapo PVR system have apps would be a nice to have if ZM did too.

Cambozola
Hi, My setup as follows: Ubuntu Server 14 ZM 1.27.99.00 Most of the time I use Google chrome and everything works perfect when viewing cameras but on one PC I'm restricted to IE 11 so I need to rely on cambozola. I have installed it and enabled it from ZM options, however when viewing an event it do...

Re: Libvlc doesn't work
Cheers bbunge
Rebuilt everything from scratch and followed your instructions and now this works perfect.
Ubuntu 14.
ZM 1.27.99
Libvlc
Ffmpeg
Only issue I have now is with cambozola not working in IE correctly but I'll put in another post about that.

Re: Libvlc doesn't work
- apt-add-repository ppa:iconnor/zoneminder-master
- apt-get update
- apt-get install zoneminder
- cp /etc/zm/apache.conf /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/zm.conf
- a2enmod cgi
Everything works apart from Libvlc.. Just wondering if I'm the only one.

Libvlc doesn't work
I'm running a Ubuntu 14.04 server with ZM 1.27.1 installed. I installed this from the iconnor/zoneminder-master PPA.
When using FFMPEG my camera works, however when attempting to use libvlc it doesn't. I've installed libvlc.
Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong?

Re: FFMPEG Ubuntu 14.04 - ZM 126.5
Hi PacoLM,
I'm still quite new to Ubuntu so I don't know how to build from source, is there any easier way of doing this such as apt-get. In previous version of ZM/Ubuntu 12.04 the FFMPEG works quite well. Is a new thing in 14.04 where you have to go build and install yourself.

FFMPEG Ubuntu 14.04 - ZM 126.5
Hi, I followed the guide here http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_Server_14.04_64-bit_with_Zoneminder_1.26.5_the_easy_way However when I try to export a video it is coming up as failed. I have ticked used FFMPEG under the ZM options but it still doesn't work. I believe this is because FF...

Re: Redirect Events and Images to NAS
OK I managed to get this working. I figured that connecting via CIFS wasn't the solution and was better using NFS since its more native to Linux. So I connected to my NAS and enabled NFS. I next had to install NFS support on my Ubuntu 14.04 install. apt-get install nfs-kernel-server Next I had to cr...

Re: Has anybody got ZM 1.27.1 working on Ubuntu 14.04
Thanks BB.
That's what I did but couldn't get LibVLC working (all my cameras are LibVLC) I didn't try FFMPeg so reverted back to 1.26. All working now but would love to upgrade to the latest version.

Redirect Events and Images to NAS
I've attached my NAS to Ubuntu 14.04 via fstab. I've put the below in my fstab file. //blackbox/network /mnt/blackbox cifs username=(myusername),password=(mypassword),iocharset=utf8,sec=ntlm 0 0 I can browse to the NAS in Ubuntu fine, my next step is to re-direct Zoneminder events. I followed this g...
