Only problem (for me) is, that using deep storage causes a directory monitor program (Autohotkey script) to fail to notice changes. I'm using it to popup a desktop notice when an alarm occurs i.e. a new directory is created. Haven't figured out another way to do it. There probably is...

My 1.28 installation has deep storage disabled. How do I upgrade to 1.29 and keep the old setting and events?

I had the same (or very similar) problem with SAA7134 chipset 4 channel analog card. Switching capture palette to YUYV fixed it. Not the optimum solution for performance, but seems to work fine.

I also had problems with the install. I think typing a2enmod cgi and Apache2 restart after that fixed some of those. Did you go to root directory and created there .my.cnf file? Not to filesystem's root but root folder.
(I'm currently also doing this install and this part worked for me.)
