Re: Updating on the stable PPA

Glad it was fixed, I wasn't sure if it was just something funky about my set up of if it was affecting others.

Re: Updating on the stable PPA

Update: for some reason the database upgrade procedure missed the zm_update-1.28.109.sql file (I don't know why, or if any others updates were missed.) This resulted in the above table not having "Hostname" entry in it. I ran the update procedure (below) manually to add it. This allowed me...

Re: Updating on the stable PPA

I was definitely at 1.28.x and then when I did a "apt-get grade" it moved me to 1.29.0...so perhaps I was on the master all along. In any case, after the upgrade everything broke and isn't working, which isn't the behaviour I would expect from an automated package based upgrade. I think I ...

Re: Updating on the stable PPA

Is there a way to do this without changing my repository to -master? I wanted to stay on the "stable" repository, (after all, the stable repository upgraded to 1.29, why do I need to switch to the -master?) I followed all of the directions, but am still getting a problem. It looks like my ...

Re: Ubuntu ZM 1.29.0 in PPA Master

My Ubuntu box updated to 1.29.0 from the PPA. I ran the zmupdate.pl script successfully, and I reapplied the permissions grant select, insert, update, delete, create, alter, lock tables, index on zm.* to 'zmuser'@localhost identified by 'zmpass'; Now I'm getting errors such as: ERR [Bogus number of lines r...

Re: Updating on the stable PPA

My PPA updated from 1.28 to 1.29. and zoneminder failed to restart. I ran the database update script successfully and now the zoneminder service has restarted, but none of my cameras are working. Can you tell me more details about the manual corection for "mysql permissions" that you menti...

Re: How to force an alarm via the web interface that turns o

That's for the reply....I think I could get the camera to use zmtrigger directly, but I wanted to avoid having to start up another process and make sure it was running. I think you are pointing me in the right direction however. I can simply make a CGI script that the camera can call which will use ...

How to force an alarm via the web interface that turns off?

I have a camera that uses inbuilt motion detection (monitor number 20 on my setup). I have it set up to make a call to the zoneminder webserver to force an alarm when it detects motion using: 192.168.1.15/zm/index.php?view=request&request=alarm&id=20&command=forceAlarm However, the camer...

I also have a DCS-920 (mostly) working with ZM 1.24.2 on Ubuntu. I am running firmware 1.04 on the camera. I had to disable User Access Control on the camera entirely to make it work. I'm using a 640x480 image, and accessing it (at approx 6-7 FPS over wifi) using "/video.cgi?" as the Remot...

I have also been having problems getting mjpeg video from the dcs-920. One thing that I found to work: On the camera: Set size to 320x240, disable user access control On ZM: Remote Host Name: <your> Remote Host Path: /image.jpg This does not make use of streaming jpeg, but does work at 2.8 FPS. (I'v...
