Re: "Converting filters from PHP to JSON format" failed

Re: all events are "New Event" and 0.00 s. / zmc crash

plenty of free space left, zoneminder partition has 10% free space and i have had the filter that deletes old events when 95% full active. looking back at saved events, looks like the events started breaking around 06/26 19:53:02 ....

all events are "New Event" and 0.00 s. / zmc crash

hi i have been running 1.24.2 on ubutnu 10.04 server for years now without issue, but i noticed something recently, that all my saved events are called "New Event" instead of Event-ID# and are 0.00 s. long. i can't play a video of the events but the individual frames are still there for me to view, ...

Re: bandwidth requirements for remote server

ok. all i could find in wiki was a link to AXIS calculator, which isn't compatible with Firefox.
but if it's as simple as picking a few random images, figuring average file size, and multiply by framerate, that will do.

bandwidth requirements for remote server

i would like to set up a remote zoneminder server and am wondering what the bandwidth requirements would be. is there a rough way to calculate it based on the resolution and frame rate? thanks

Re: Large IP camera setup

Simply removing the 3-4 montage viewers and using a simple html page using direct connections to the cams, as suggested, has helped tremendously. Load was reduced by 40-50%! I've got this thread saved and will be sure to check it in the future so i can take in to account all the other tuning that co...

Re: Large IP camera setup

I have 31 ip cameras on one single-cpu quad-core xeon (a ml115). About half are modect, the rest record. Load hovers around 2. Interestingly, my load is halved at night, unlike yours, but the cams are generally in unlit areas and just have black screens. what is the resolution and other settings fo...

Re: Large IP camera setup

What version of Zoneminder? it's ZM 1.24.2 Are you using mastertheknife's performance patches? o.o what're those? Are you using libjpeg turbo? yeah, v 1.1.1 Depending on motherboard and bios, doing a drop in upgrade to 6 core cpu is relatively easy so do you suppose i could expand to probably ~15 c...

Large IP camera setup

I've got a system setup with 9 cameras so far running pretty smoothly, but it needs to be expanded and so the Zoneminder box may need upgrades or a new build altogether. The rules governing the industry the setup is deployed in requires no less than 640x480 resolution. I got a good deal on some Axis...

Re: Zoneminder - A Case Study (Budget server load with 33 ca

Thanks. i think the issue is ZM needs the cam to be reloaded for the changes to the AXIS config to be recognized. So after i changed the FPS in the AXIS config, i changed the cam in ZM to 'Monitor' and then back to 'Modect' and now ZM is getting the correct FPS...

Re: Zoneminder - A Case Study (Budget server load with 33 ca

bb99 i tried that but that just makes ZM read the cameras at 30 fps and so the system load goes up even higher
