Re: Cannot write to content dirs

It looks good now, all the errors have gone away and ZM is working as expected. Guess changing the network on the computer has adverse effects.

Re: Cannot write to content dirs

I make the change indicated here, https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/pull/1412/files and now can get into the console at least, but still getting the error over and over, Cannot write to content dirs('events','images'). Check that these exist and are owned by the web account user Strange if yo...

Re: Debian Buster install procedure for Zoneminder 1.34.x

I was following this guide https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debian_10_Buster_with_Zoneminder_1.34.x_from_ZM_Repo but gave up, now I'm just using a clone from the old system now which should work better since the database and all events will be copied over. Now if i can just resolve the error there, it's ...

I cloned an old system to a new system and now getting the error when I try to access the console, Cannot write to content dirs('events','images'). Check that these exist and are owned by the web account user Yes they do exist and are owned by www-data. All the data is the same as in the last system...

Re: Debian Buster install procedure for Zoneminder 1.34.x

Tried the LEMP install too, the second section, not working either... isn't there a way to debug? The log files don't really tell anything useful. If i run the perl script it says the service is running: root@gemma:~# /usr/bin/zmpkg.pl status 06/20/2020 20:51:46.519291 zmpkg[29990].INF [main:310] [S...

Re: Debian Buster install procedure for Zoneminder 1.34.x

You need to have Apache2 installed and configured before you install Zoneminder. I have installed Zoneminder 1.34.x many times on Buster with LAMP and LEMP and have had no issues! What is there to configure? Apache is running as evidenced that I can access the zm web interface Just ran the WIKI ins...

Re: Debian Buster install procedure for Zoneminder 1.34.x

This is also happening for me. I reinstalled the server from scratch due to a hard drive change. I did everything the same as before at the wki linked above, but I got an error at systemctl start zoneminder It exited with an error, but when I got apache configured and restarted, the zm console was w...

Re: Debian Buster install procedure for Zoneminder 1.34.x

I have fresh installation of Debian Buster and followed the instructions in the wiki to install 1.34.x but it doesn't start and there isn't any useful information available. Any idea what the problem is? thx root@gemma:~# systemctl start zoneminder Job for zoneminder.service failed because the contr...

Re: "Converting filters from PHP to JSON format" failed

"Converting filters from PHP to JSON format" failed

Re: all events are "New Event" and 0.00 s. / zmc crash

plenty of free space left, zoneminder partition has 10% free space and i have had the filter that deletes old events when 95% full active. looking back at saved events, looks like the events started breaking around 06/26 19:53:02 ....
