Is there a default user id and password?

I have the same situation. I had deleted several events from with zoneminder. I noted there was not very many events today, which was strange. So I rebooted the computer and was presented with a login screen. Funny thing about this is I never set up any user to sign in at the login screen.

Let's try some more things: 1st: Are you using a non standard location for the events? 2nd: Try to reduce the buffer ring size 3rd: Some traces of /var/log/syslog when initializing zoneminder will help to reduce the search... OK, this blows my mind. I have an install of Ubuntu 10.04 and installed Zoneminder and went thru the tutorial and I have no problem adding a monitor and all of the tabs work. OK, I Mepis 11 uses Debian squeeze repos. I will add the sid repo and see what happens adn get back to the forum.

Which dependencies are used by zonemider, in regards to the php/mysql packages?

All of the repos are checked, reloaded and nothing shows up as upgradable.
