filters not doing batch operations on ZMLarch?

I'm running several DVRs with ZMLarch 1.24.2. I can't seem to get the filters to do much as far as batch operations, such as "Create Video" or "Delete All Matches" (Although the PurgeWhenFull filter works fine). I also cannot get it to upload matches (yes, FTP upload is configured, etc). It just see...

unable to delete certain events

I'm running ZMLarch 1.24.2 and the PurgeWhenFull filter seems to be running ok, except I have some old events that simple will not go away. On one DVR I have over 900 events that will not delete and the other has over 20,000 that will not delete. I set a filter to view all events before 5/1/2011 and...

Passing username & password via URL?

Is it possible to log into ZoneMinder by passing the username and password in the URL? For example: http://zoneminder/zm/index.php?username=john&password=letmein When I do this it populates the username field, but not the password field and then there's the issue of submitting it. I guess I've seen ...

Centralized Console

Has anyone built a centralized web console for ZoneMinder? I have five DVRs (may add one more) and I'm trying to ease the users' experience with having to log into each DVR to view certain cameras. I can easily build a web app/database that gives them a login with a single list of cameras, etc. Howe...

First think am gona say try to avoid telnet use ssh most switches and stuff even use it now. second no that package dose not affect zm. Check you syslog and kernel linux system going down is most likely the cause of hardware or driver failure. In the bios for the server check the power rails they s...

ZMLarch DVR keeps going down

The first two DVR's I installed have been running since day-one with no issues. The others have been constantly going down on me and I've tried on like 3-4 different servers that are all the same hardware. Somewhere in the middle of setting this all up, they upgraded the telnetd package and instead ...

[quote="st2000" ZM usually drops my wireless cameras saying they are not available. [/quote] I seen a post on here somewhere that someone change the connection timeout from it's default to 5000ms in Options and it fixed their wireless camera connection issues. I've been using the ZMLarch live CD wit...

That worked out great. Thanks. But for some reason now when I go to add my other cam/monitor, both cams are tied to the same view.. IE.. when I goto view cam_1 I see our front door. When I pull up cam_2, which should be the garage view, it shows the same view as cam_1. I know I've got the channels ...

I'm using the latest zmlarch cd, 1.24.2, I believe. I had some issues with partitioning and figured out if I use gparted it works good to do them at install time. I typically use it to delete all the partitions and do it fresh. If I'm reinstalling on one that I had previously set up, I have to at le...

Ok, I have done everything down to trying to connect from command line from another host. I was using the Windows MySQL Admin tool. I will post a screenshot of that error as well as what I get from command line tomorrow evening. Thanks for all the help.

Replace 'password' with your chosen password.

It seemed to accept these commands ok, but I still cannot connect remotely

Now that I have set the root password and verified it, it still does not let me connect remotely. skip-networking is commented out. I'm allowing all hosts in the hosts.allow file.

Any other suggestions?

Finally found this syntax which helped me get it reset. Thanks for the help!

If you would like to change current password d3s9cXq to OlzzYs$qz, enter the following command:
# mysqladmin -u root -p password "OlzzYs$qz"
Output:

Enter password: <enter>

To set the password the first time you must enter the command without the -p switch "mysqladmin -u root password <newpassword>" No, I did not use -p. Here is exactly what I did and what I get: [/home/user]# mysqladmin -u root password letmein mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed erro...
