Re: Video export does not work (ZM 1.25.0 + Ubuntu 11.04)

For export to zip you need to install zip.
If you want to include video you need to generate it first:

You can allow access to your cameras via a web page without having to allow anonymous access to your cameras. I just whipped up a simple iPhone app using PHP and javascript and my cameras are still password protected. You simply need to use PHP:cURL and supply passwords for your cameras in your PHP ...

Moving images offsite instantly

I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on how to approach the problem of capturing event data and images in case the local machine running zoneminder does not survive the "event". I have two computers running zoneminder each with its own set of network cameras - home and office. I coul...

It is all in the wiki:

You can also connect zoneminder to their demo cameras in Taiwan.

You might want to check PD100HV2W from BSTI:

It works fine with zoneminder.

I downloaded the latest firmware - YCAM_BLACK_C_FIRMWARE_EN_V3.22B20090901 and the gzipped kernel is at offset 17320, the root file system - cramfs - is at offset 1135508. When I try to mount on i386 I get error: # mount -o loop,offset=1135508 -t cramfs ./YCAM_BLACK_C_FIRMWARE_EN_V3.22B20090901.mfw ...

These are not wireless cameras, although there is a wireless version for $10 more. 15fps is more than you need. I am going to go down to 5fps once I am done with all the wiring around the house. I am overall very happy with these cameras and quite puzzled why they do not get mentioned more often, es...

I received 5 cameras last week for a little over $500 including shipping. Zoneminder pulls about 15fps from these cameras. They have 2 demo cameras set up online and you can configure your zoneminder to pull video from there. I was getting about 3fps when receiving video from Taiwan. The daytime vid...

BSTI outdoor night/day network cameras

Anybody has any experience with these ? I am about to buy 5 PD100HV2 outdoor cameras. I am able to get MJPEG stream from their demo camera using
/videostream.cgi as Remote Path plus Regexp.

This camera is bad - day or night. Lots of screen artifacts make motion detection impossible. You could use it for a monitor if you already have one and can not return it.

It's been running for the last 24hrs no problem. The picture quality is terrible though. I am going to return this camera back to my local Fry's store.

You can use mjpeg with remote host path /MJPEG.CGI, if you uncheck ZM_NETCAM_REGEXPS under Options/Network

My setting for remote host path is /img/video.mjpeg
