Re: Getting monitor status from API

Setting AUTH_RELAY to Hashed fixed it. It looks like that change had no other adverse effects so I'll keep it. Any explanation why everything else was working but that wasn't?

Re: Getting monitor status from API

Its a single server setup. And all of the previous calls are working. But zmu.log is giving an error of: 02/12/20 18:37:58.035870 zmu[27091].ERR-zmu.cpp/435 [Username must be supplied] I'm using token based auth, so the URLs look like this: https://zm:443/zm/api/monitors/alarm/id:2/command:status.js...

Re: Getting monitor status from API

Hmm, mine is always blank. I have 5 different monitors, all return {"status":""} regardless of the status. Maybe a regression bug in 1.34?

Re: Getting monitor status from API

This is what I get from api/monitors/2.json. The Monitor_Status only shows "Connected", not one of Idle, Alarm, Alert. Also, I thought I read that Monitor_Status is not available in earlier versions of ZM and I was hoping to support those, although its not a requirement. { "monitor": { "Monitor": { ...

[SOLVED] Getting monitor status from API

I'm not sure this is a 1.34 issue but I did upgrade over the weekend. I'm writing an app and trying to get the monitor status through the API by calling /zm/api/monitors/alarm/id:5/command:status.json but the response I get back always has a blank status: {"status":""}. This is for every monitor. I'...

Looking for good low light non-IR cameras

Hello, I've been searching for good low light cameras. I used to have a POS logitech quickcam that needed no IR LEDs but instead just lowered the frame rate and opened it's aperture really wide. It only cost about $40. They haven't made those for a long time, but I'm looking for something similar. I...

Using VLC for Windows as a streaming source

Is there a way to get ZM to read an HTTP/MJPEG stream produced by VLC? I have a Logitech Quickcam 4000 attached to a Windows XP/Gentoo dual boot system. Usually it is booted into Windows. I'd like to run VLC in the background and provide a stream from the locally attached webcam. I can get VLC to pr...

Ah, this? <img src="http://localhost/cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=jpeg&monitor=1&scale=100&maxfps=2&rand=1209475873" alt="Office" border="0" width="320" height="240"> I think the problem is related to the fact that I am viewing jpegs instead of mpegs. So far I've found that setting the frame rate down (to 2...

Also, I noticed on Config->Images that the ZM_STREAM_METHOD was set to jpeg. After reading the help associated with this option, would this be bypassing the bitrate option and just be sending jpeg stills?

Video Bitrate while watching a Monitor

I'm trying to set the video bitrate in the console settings to something that will not consume all available bandwidth, but regardless of what I set it at, the bitrate used is still that maximum that my DSL will handle. I'm using zm 1.23.1 on Gentoo x86_64, installed via emerge. for Options - Low B/...
