Re: Montage Review showing "No Data"

I'm having this exact problem after updating to 1.32.3 on Cent OS 7. Did anyone find a fix yet?

The paths are already 755. /usr/lib/cgi-bin is owned by root, by the ZM files inside are from www-data, so should be ok.

Re: socket_sendto( /tmp/zm/zms-656085s.sock) on 10.04 LTS 64

Hm..... Apparently there is a new guide: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_Server_11.04_64-bit_with_ZoneMinder_1.25.0_from_compiled_SVN._FFmpeg_from_distribution_repos,_libjpeg-turbo,_Webmin,_Cambozola_installed_from_.deb I changed /var/www to /var/www/zm in /etc/apache2/sites-availabl...

Re: socket_sendto( /tmp/zm/zms-656085s.sock) on 10.04 LTS 64

nibelungen79 I made the file /etc/apache2/conf.d/zm.conf and pasted your code. I then restarted Apache, but still get the same error. I used this guide for install of Ubuntu + Zoneminder: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_Server_11.04_64-bit_with_ZoneMinder_1.25.0_Preview,_FFmpeg,_libj...

Xlib_shm Raw Stream Viewer

Is anyone still using the xlib raw stream viewer? We have used it for years on a Ubuntu 7.x server, but we are going to replace this PC with a new Ubuntu 10.04 system and Zoneminder 1.25.

Will xlib_shm still work?
Does it need shared memory?
Are there alternatives?

Thanks!

Cool! :)

As we talked about I did basically the same last year, good job for documenting it! :)

If I find some time I will also start messing around with this feature.....

At this point I exactly dont know how to do it. A think about reading the bttv card from video0 with mencoder with the deinterlace filter and writing it to a AVLD (fake) video1. Zoneminder should then read from video1 a deinterlaced picture. This works. I did this last year but did not document it....

I have seen the same problem when using IP cameras, but never with framegrabber cards, no matter if it was a slow or fast PC.

ZoneMinder might indeed be overkill for your needs.

I started out with webcamd which does exactly what you need, and not what I wanted, so I moved on to ZoneMinder.

Be careful with webcamd, my experience was that it had overwritten my standard index.html file without asking!

If you would only use IP cams it would indeed run on any Linux distribution 8)

Well one option is just to use your syslog daemon to filter them out, for syslog-ng an example would be: filter f_zm { match("^zm.*"); }; destination zm { file("/var/log/zm.log"); }; log { source(src); filter(f_zm); destination(zm); }; I added that to my /etc/syslog file, and did /etc/init.d/syslog...
