CoYoTe, you're my hero for the day. Thanks man. Unchecking V4L option was what did it.

timcraig -- I did indeed try restarting zoneminder, quite a few times :-)

CoYoTe -- I'm trying that now.

Interesting point, the images are only crossing over on cameras that are on the same card, i.e. /dev/video0 is only crossing cameras on /dev/video0.

Images from other cameras "flickering" into camera

I have a weird issue, and I think it might be a shared memory issue. I recently had a raid array crash and took the opportunity to upgrade to the latest zoneminder. I roughly followed the instructions from the zoneminder wiki. OS Ubuntu 9.04 server ZM 1.24.2 FFMPEG from svn, I can get the version if...

I realize the post is old. Just reusing it for my notes. It appears that the images can be streamed via a url. http://sonycamserverip/command/image.cgi?ChannelNO=**XX**&speed=20 Where **XX** is the channel number, 1-4 are the the options. Speed seems to change the FPS but doesn't correlate direc...

One of these just fell into my lap. I will be working on it over the weekend. I think I should be able to make it go.

Disk IO I don't think was the problem, I just optimized all the tables in the zoneminder database. It took 10 whole seconds to load the console page once I logged in. Thanks for the suggestions though cordel, I'm going to be building a larger zoneminder system here pretty soon and that made me think...

Slow to load after login

After logging into zoneminder, it takes about 15 minutes for the initial page to load. After login completes and the console loads it is plenty speedy enough. It just takes a long time to log in. I've got 4 cameras, but there are 600k+ events at any given time. All my cameras are set to modect. The ...

The trick to getting good help is providing good information. I am assuming you are using something to translate your native language into english. That is okay, but you might get a friend to help you, humans tend to be better translators. What we need to help you: Information on how you installed z...

Thanks, I think that'll work. My perl foo isn't the strongest, but I bet I can bend it to my will. Considering I only need this now and again, I think it'll be perfect.

Multi Event Video Generation

I've not been able to find anything searching the wiki, forums or just out on the net. While I've come up with a solution myself by downloading the videos and using an automator script to combine the videos using imovie. I would like to know if there is a way to make a single video of multiple event...

I'll probably just use that, until I can just do a clean install on this machine. It has been messed with willy-nilly because it isn't a high priorty camera box. The machine is also a fax server. Heh.

Compile error ZM 1.23.3 on Ubuntu Gutsy

I am using the default ffmpeg for ubuntu. I was working with 1.22.3. I had been using the .deb, but since that never gets updated, I am attempting to install via source after removing the old ZM. I have installed from source on hardy heron and edgy eft. Thanks in advance. ./configure --with-webdir=/...

It is my understanding that SWF if currently not supported. I remember seeing a post by zoneminder about adding it. I do not however know where support for SWF is. My impression was that it will not work if you just change the format to swf in configuration. I've never seen asf work myself, however ...
