I think the "Skip Frames" setting might be what you're looking for.

I've been trying camstream on a laptop saving to a samba share on the zm box... mostly works but now and then the zmc bombs out either because of an empty file or a corrupt jpeg. Looks like it's clashing and trying to read just at the point that the laptop is trying to upload the frame.

It's a while since you posted so you might have already figured this out, but if you go to Options -> Web and change ZM_WEB_MONTAGE_WIDTH and ZM_WEB_MONTAGE_HEIGHT to valid values (I'm using 320 and 240), the error will stop.
